Children and Family

Wellness House child and family programs help children and adolescents who have been touched by a cancer diagnosis in their family connect and have fun with peers who are experiencing similar circumstances. Our groups are appropriate for children and teens who are living with the cancer diagnosis of a loved one or the loss of their loved one to cancer.

Children & Family

Thriving through life’s challenges by learning and practicing resiliency skills.

Wellness House children and family programs help children and adolescents who have been touched by a cancer diagnosis in their family connect and have fun with peers who are experiencing similar circumstances. Our groups are appropriate for children and teens who are living with the cancer diagnosis of a loved one or the loss of their loved one to cancer.

These programs focus on fostering resiliency and coping skills to enable children and their families to live healthy lives. While cancer is the common denominator bringing participants together, it is not the focal point of all conversations. Our goal is to create a safe place to share feelings and concerns around life with cancer and more.

Registration is required for all Wellness House programs and services. To register, please click the link below to fill out an application for your child. If you have any questions, please email admin@annapoliswellnesshouse.org.

Information About Children & Adolescent Counseling

Having cancer or having a loved one with cancer is a different experience for each person. Individual counseling gives a chance to focus on what kids are most bothered by. They can learn how to deal with strong emotions, handle changes, and build resiliency.

If you would like your child to receive counseling services, please contact Wellness House of Annapolis at  410-990-0941 to receive a counseling intake form. Please note that you must complete a member application (linked above) in addition to the counseling intake form in order for your child to receive counseling services.
